Time spent:

  • drawing the thumbnail - ~30 mins
  • fixing bugs before the session - 10 mins

In the end, I didn't draw Eris and Magnapinna, since I don't have their designs ready at all. I did decide to draw at least something for the thumbnail though, so I drew Eris' escape module approaching the mothership, with the (today newly made) name of the game: Next Target: Mothership.

I also fixed the bug that made the velocity visualiser visible from the start, through the main menu, and another bug that meant that sometimes, when the player pressed space after the last message in a batch, the main engine lock wouldn't engage, making the main engine fire, sending the player unintentionally flying forward. These are both now fixed.

I managed to listen to the entire recording of Dindi by Antônio Carlos Jobim, and a bit of Wave, while the game was building right before the start of the session :D

The version the playtesters will be playing is 25w20b.
